Hobe

Hobe began business in 1925 and are well known for the sterling silver brooches they created in the 1940s.  During World War II, materials were channeled to the war effort and changes were made according to what was available.  Surprisingly to us today, silver was used for many jewelry pieces.  Hobe received many design patents for brooches in sterling silver that feature bows, flowers,ribbons and florals.    Hobe continued business in recent times changing hands and being sold in 1995.
